July 16 & 17, 2005
Fanshawe Pioneer Village, London, Ontario
This year’s ILBA Annual Rendezvous
will be held in Southern Ontario July 16th &
17th, 2005. You will be able to step back in time
and enjoy the remarkable sights and sounds of
a 19th century Village. Fanshawe Pioneer Village
is located on a beautiful 40 acre site near the
shore of Fanshawe Lake, in London's Fanshawe Conservation
Authority. Located in the North East corner of
London Ontario, The Fanshawe Pioneer Village is
easily accessible from Toronto & Detroit by
highway 401, and from Sarnia by highway 402. This
village offers a variety of historical log and
timber structures, has a designated meeting hall
for us, is in close proximity to a local log building
yard for hands on workshops (thanks to Mark Williams
for his assistance), and is within walking distance
to the Fanshawe Conservation area where there
is a variety of camping opportunities. There are
local accommodations
for those not wishing to camp.
We’ll start the weekend off
right on Friday evening with a BBQ dinner, and
commence Saturday morning with a great breakfast
and fresh coffee. All food will be cooked on site
by the Village staff, which will provide an easy
weekend for all those attending. A pre-Rendezvous
class on Log Grading (July 14th & 15th) will
commence on Thursday afternoon and finish by Friday
dinner time. The main Rendezvous workshops commence
after breakfast on Friday, and will include a
Truss Workshop, Adzing Workshop, Seminar on the
Log Selection process, ICC information session,
and more! Workshops continue throughout the weekend,
with a Session open to the Public on Sunday afternoon.
We encourage you to register early!
Bring your family, your co-workers, and be prepared

at this campout weekend Rendez-Vous!
