Log Building Standards for Handcrafted, Scribe-Fit Construction

The International Log Builders' Association has compiled Log Building Standards for Handcrafted, Scribe-Fit Construction as building guidelines for this specific type of construction. The booklet contains construction specifications for log builders, architects, buyers, engineers, building code officials, owner/builders, contractors, subcontractors, and students of handcrafted log construction. The guidebook includes technical construction information on log walls, notches, spiral grain tolerances, joists and beams, window and door openings, settling details, roofs and roof support systems, electrical, plumbing, and masonry. Log Building Standards is written with running commentary and diagrams, and is included in the Log Homes-Land to Lock-up publication as well as the Log Span Tables Publication.
